Oh I love the dog one! I am partial to dog photos...LOL!
Thank you for your comment, here is my response :)
1. What is a bokeh?
Bokeh is a Japanese term for the portion of a picture that is out of focus. It refers to the quality of the blur, you can have harsh bokeh where you can tell what the background is, or you can have creamy bokeh where the background is softly blurred and uniform. The type of bokeh is dependent almost exclusively on the lens. Some people argue that the Sigma prime gives the best bokeh when compared to Nikon primes. Canon leads the market in primes, but really, who cares about the brand? Good glass is good glass! You can get good bokeh on zoom lenses too. Bokeh is HIGHLY subjective, and many photographers are passionate about what determines good bokeh, some will even fight about it.
2. Your dog is beautiful! Is he a mix?
Thank you! He is a purebred husky, which means he is a special mix. We never got any papers on him, the AKA doesn't accept Huskies as a breed because their bloodline histories are so tangled. I personally think he is part husky part shepherd, but he was bred to be a sled dog. Moonbeam is featured in several posts, and they are quite funny, if I do say so myself. If you are interested, read "Path of Destruction, Paw-icure Parts 1 and 2", and...I think that is it.
Our other dog is a beagle/springer mix, she is a sweetie. I'll have photos soon.
3. Thanks for the picasa advice
You are very welcome, it takes a bit of getting used to, but it is easy to post large amounts of photos to blogger - you don't have to upload them one by one, and editing is a lot of fun. If I can help, let me know.
:)
4. I didn't notice the second hand on the clock, but when I went back to it, I was very impressed!
LOL - oh thanks, that was a luck that I got the light just right to have a perfectly timed exposure. It took several failed attempts, but in the end, I got what I wanted and was very pleased. Then I edited it in Picasa! LOL - hey, I can't do black and white with part in color in my camera.
:)
You have wonderful photos, keep it up! I think quite a few are very artistic and original. :) Hmm..interesting, the word I have to type to post this comment is what one of my upcoming posts is about: beads. Must be a sign! LOL!
